North Carolina A&T State University awards Touring Theatre intern, Vicky Walters an Undergraduate Fellows Research Grant focused on the company’s production, Mad at Miles: A Black Woman’s Guide to Truth
As a part of the Mellon grant award, the College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences offered funding for an Undergraduate Fellows Research Grant. Touring Theatre of NC (TTNC) intern and junior A&T Theatre Arts Program major Vicky Walters applied for the grant to research the effects of performances of Mad at Miles for college students as a tool to combat sexual abuse/assault/racism and sexism. Donna Bradby, TTNC’s Executive Director served as Vicky’s faculty mentor. After submitting her proposal to a very competitive pool of student applicants she was awarded buy diazepam tablets online 00.00 to conduct the research. Along with three awardees, she presented her work to Dr. Frances Ward Johnson, the Dean of the College and Dr. Depolo the Chair of the English Department and received amazing feedback on her detailed and passionate work. Her research will be used for future grant proposals to fund Mad at Miles. Vicky has worked on multiple TTNC productions since her freshman year.
