Just Checking In

May 21, 2020

“Touring Theatre was born and raised in Greensboro! This city, its people, and its communities have been the artistic laboratory from which this company’s work has evolved, and you have been an integral part of this theatre’s success!”

Wow! What a time we are ALL experiencing as a country, and who would have imagined the impact this virus would have on our families and communities.

We want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to read this message, I know you are bombarded with emails, constant contact blasts, Facebook, twitter, Instagram and a whole host of communications. Although it may seem overwhelming, communication keeps us connected.

We are taking this opportunity to quickly check in and let you know that we want you to stay safe! During this difficult time when we are all discovering things about the spirit of community, sacrifice and our ability as humans to push through and ultimately push on and push out.

Touring Theatre of North Carolina is a not for profit, active producing professional theatre that celebrates the on-going human search for dignity across lines of ethnicity, gender, economic status, religion, and age. From the strength of Fannie Lou Hamer a Civil Rights Activist to the courage of four teens caught-up in the Holocaust or the bravery of World War II Women Veterans who served this great country to the boldness it takes to expose the abuse from a music icon like Miles Davis, the human condition has been a focus of TTNC for over 30 years.

During this time of Social Distancing we want to stay connected. We long to continue to share our work and who we are with the hope of learning more about who you are. We are not asking for anything just that we make a connection. In future blasts you will get to meet the people who work with the company. They will tell stories about TTNC and themselves. We hope you will take a few minutes every third Tuesday to spend a little time with TTNC.

Looking forward to connecting! Stay safe!

Sincerely,

Allen Broach
Board President, Touring Theatre of North Carolina
